  • I ve not moved yet, you guys are going to laugh but I was giving the hamsters their meds and one fell off my lap. on to the floor and she just lay there. She doesn't appear to have broken anything but I m absolutely terrified the fall and shock will have killed her.

she looked so confused afterwards, I put her back in her nest. I know you are going to think its stupid but I am so worried. she is moving around but just a bit. :(

How the heck does a hamster look confused?

I'm sure she will be ok - I love hamsters but I'm not allowed a pet. Hubby CLAIMS to be allergic.
  • Shelley,
Double check with Dr before taking ibuprofen-I know you aren't supposed to give kids anything with aspirin when they have chicken pox due to a very rare complication called Rye Syndrom (?) I know a friend of mine had it when she was little.

I had CP when I was 18 and I was soooooooooooooo ill. For a good 2 weeks.
    Sorry.

I had it for the first time earlier this year. I'm 34.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I just assumed I had had it as a child. Obviously not. :(

Poor little guy is probably a bit scared-im sure he will be ok.

Sammy-I am at work Fri but that's it-oh, and seeing a friend Sun and planning on that being an all-dayer kind of thing (well, afternoon into the evening-not that you care...I'll stop rambling now...)

Hello all. Hope you don't mind me joining in! My daughter had the flu jab in November and has had flu for 5 days now all over Christmas. She has the jab due to asthma but it's not made any difference - may not bother next year .... or would she have been more poorly if she'd not had the jab??

I've had a good start to my 'getting back into DFW ways' today. I rang the bank and cancelled our £3k overdraft facility.... and they gave me a hard time! If it was them cancelling it and demanding the money back I bet they wouldn't have been worried about whether I could repay it but as I was the one cancelling they asked me loads of questions about why I didn't need it anymore. It's the £38 per month in charges they will miss!! Lol.

It feels lovely to be back 'on the wagon' again after drifiting away last year. So many new DFW's and so much support - why did I ever leave!!! Denial - that's why!

Morning, (((hugs))) to all the poorly people.

Jinky you did seem quite shy in Leeds, although I was a) sat at the other end of a very looong table from you, and b) drunk to cover up my own shyness!

But in Leeds no-one ended up on their own with no-one talking to them, and I'm sure Manchester will be the same, so please don't be nervous of coming anyone.
