wh smiths (wood green) had quite a few packs of 50 coloured pre-folded cards and envelopes for £2.99 (down from £11.99, which seems way too much!).

I ordered some gold ones that they had in the sale. Afterwards they sent an email to say out of stock, don't know why they couldn't have said that on their website to save me wasting my time!!!
I checked instore and couldn't find any reduced there. Hope you are luckier!0
