Hi,
looking for some reassurance really because I have done something VERY silly:shhh:
Surrendering a Legal & General endowment policy and sent the policy and a couple of letters from past mortgage holders confirming they no longer have any interest in the policy on the 18th Dec. I rang today and it isn't showing as received on their system:eek:
I know I should have sent it recorded delivery but in my defense I was in a bit of a lather as I had to rush to Wales and collect my son who had been assulted:mad:
(the cops found a knife on the b*****d who did it, so he was lucky he only lost a tooth)
This policy is worth quite a bit of dosh so now I am panicking that it will disappear into the ether never to be seen again:eek:
Is it too soon to worry, should I stop, have another mince pie and worry about my waistline instead?:rotfl: :rotfl:

Can't you send the letters and the confirmation from your mortgage lender again?
Chances are its in the post somewhere, or backed up in their system.0 -
petcorner: give it a few days, as once they rcv mail it goes for scanning before showing on the system0

I did have the brains to photo copy the letters so that may be okay. Its the fact my original policy document was in the envelop as requested by L & G and I dread to think what hoops I would have to jump through if this got lost!
The girl I spoke to this morning didn't sound very experienced or confident about the whole thing which I supose was what really started me worrying!
Of course she may have just been suffering from 'Christmas hangover'

Thanks Feisty,
That does help, I know it's too soon to get in a panic but....can't help it!!

don't worry about it.
L & G will send out an indemnity forms to you if the ones that you have sent do not turn up.. They in all honesty have a Christmas backlog and haven't got to your post yet.
How do I know.. I worked for years in the surrenders team and still work at L & G its a daily occurance where post ends up in a proverbial black hole !!!
