im after a wardrobe that hasnt shifted in price in the sales
it says price guarenteed until 16th jan
does that mean it will go up or down?
i know if i buy it now its going to drop i just know it
we really need it but i will be gutted it it halves in price

Could go either way.
The new catalogue is out on the 17th Jan so it could either be in the new catalogue which means the price may well go up, or it could be in the clearance sales which means it may go down in price.
What is the catalogue number? I could try and find out for you.

They MIGHT have free delivery, too, they did last 10% day.

A tip for the future, if you copy & paste an Argos description & catalogue number, into Homebase search box (or visa versa) it finds it for you - if they stock it!!

Ring 01908690333 (this is Argos / Homebase head office, but saves using a premium 0870 number, ask for Customer Services, tell them you want to cancel & they should handle it.

Explain why you want to, they MIGHT offer a partiel refund, of the difference to you, as it'll save them some hassle.

But don't be surprised if they want to deliver it & then collect it again & make you order all from the start, 'cos they ARE 2 seperate companies, even though they're owned by the same one!!

I'd push for a manager, to simply issue a refund, for the price difference, when you call, rather than relying on a person with just a script - see the other thread about poor customer service, in Argos!!

Not sure if the free delivery & 10% off in Homebase is applying on line, this weekend, it might have just been a one off, last time, but there's no reason why you couldn't order & then cancel, if you could stand the messing about, for not such a huge saving!!
