Norwich Union 'mortgage endowment promise'

For Norwich Union policyholders who, like myself, are still clinging on to the hope that the insurer still continue to make these additional payouts in future years these are very nervous times. As Norwich Union's endowment promise is based on the performance of its free reserves does the turbulence in the financial markets mean that days are numbered for this 'mortgage endowment promise' from NU?
I know that they have stated that they will give three years notice if they plan to withdraw the offer but I must admit that I am depending on this extra payout to boost the final deficit in the endowment shortfall.
My endowment ends in Sept. 2012 - 3 years from Sept. 2009!
Does anyone have any up to date info. on NU's endowment promise?

Apparently the shortfall promise, is funded and catered for. The cap on it that came in 2004 basically protected the promise from it being withdrawn. The first thing to go will be the reattribution.if things do not improve.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
