Free packaging

Options
Most of the major international courier firms (Fedex, UPS etc) will deliver packaging - envelopes, boxes, tubes - for free if asked to do so. They can often be ordered on their websites.

  • I have had Fedex Boxes before, the small, medium & large are quite good. I have used there envelopes to send sim cards through the royal mail they very good.

UPS you have to ring up and they ask for an account number.

Is there a way of ordering the packing materials without having a company name, VAT number, etc?

  • Ok for bubblewrap try a local independant removal company they but the stuff in bulk.

When we moved house they supplied a big roll, 1m wide x 30m long and this was £5, this lasted me for my moving and all the ebay auctions.

Its just a thought, some do some don't. In Devon we used Reed's of Yelverton.

Otherwise 100 metres 60cm wide bubblewrap can be easily bought for £14.99

  • WH Smith get their Virgin phones in bubble wrap. I saw them with a stack in the bin - I got it FOC and recycled it through ebay. Many shops receive good in packaging that just goes in the bin.

Has anybody had their packaging delivered yet? I've put in a small sample order for DHL - see if that comes.

  • they are reasonable and you can get discounts if you give them a ring and order some - they should work out cheaper - if you can't get freebies
