Union Death Benefit

I hope someone out there can give my partner and i some advice
My partner has 3 children aged 21,18, 9
Back in April this year their father passed away, he was 46 years old and a member of PSU (prision service union)
As he was originally from South Africa the task of sorting his personal affairs fell to my partner (his ex-wife)
She applied to the union on behalf of her eldest child (his legal next of kin) and were told that a death benefit would be payable on reciept of death certificate.
That was April and still nothing has been recieved
Weve phoned and phoned
Sent letters, faxes
Still nothing!!!!!
Basically we wish lodge a complaint against this union but have no idea who to complain too
Ive phoned a legal helpline and been informed that 6 weeks is plenty of time to sort this kind of payment, also they are in breach of a contract
Who can we contact to give em a kick up the A**
Thanx in advance
