Does anybody know where to get Free Initial Employment Legal Advice all I want is somebody to read my documents and tell me if i've got a chance against my employer in a employment tribuneral, based in central scotland.
I'm willing to pay from then on.

Your best bet then is to go to the Citizens Advice Bureu (google it). And your own research
Try here too

Better still, try ACAS. They'll give you definitive information and advice on Tribunals. ACAS very much believe that the Tribunal system was meant to avoid courts and lawyers so will do their best to help you.

Thanks for the replys.
I've already tried the CAB they had a read over what letters, etc I have recieved from my employer and suggested I get proper legal advice as the wording in the letter suggests they company are trying to set me up for a fall and they are in fact trying to suggest that i'm firing myself by not agreeing to their decission about changing my working hours.0 -
My household Insurance (Direct Line) includes legal cover - when I phoned their helpline I spoke to a legal advisor who ran through the details of my situation with me over the phone and gave preliminary advice. Worth checking to see if you have such cover, too? Conditions/limits apply, of course, but you may find that the entire cost of your action is covered! Good luck.0

Ermm, well, if they can show that the change in your working hours are necessary for the business then I think they would be able to dismiss you - it's not that you are firing yourself but that your non-agreement allows them to fire you.0 -
If it was straightforward, then CAB would have told you so, so the fact that they're now telling you to get legal advice suggests the case may not be worthwhile.
Why don't you put the details on here and see if anyone can help?
How much notice have they given you to change your hours? What does your contract say about changing hours? Why are they doing it? Why can't you do the new hours?
If they're changing your hours because the business is struggling and it's a way to help the business, and they gave you plenty of notice, then legally there's probably not a lot you can do.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
