wont work for me either, think they have realised their mistake, hopefully though the rest of you will get a coffee table/ dining table! :)

Its not our fault some retailers are stupid and price things wrong, gawd they over charge on every thing any ways. So why not get a freebie when and where possible.

Someone somewhere pays for that mistake, could be the family business owner, shareholders, perhaps the guy that priced it wrong pays with his job too.

Spotting a bargain and letting everyone know seems a cool idea, spotting someones mistake and then ripping them off in force seems pretty close to theft to me.

Someone always spouts the "they over charge on everything" argument (obviously not when you see how many are going bust), or some rubbish about getting back at the big boys, "one for the average guy", etc.

I emailed the shop to let them know their mistake, which is hopefully why this has stopped working for people.

This part of MSE is all about finding the best possible prices for things. If they make a mistake, then it is their problem. Once they realise that they have made a mistake, they then have to make a business decision as to whether they honour the orders, and write it off against good will, or cancel the orders that they have taken. Businesses make decisions like this all day every day - no need to make it sound more dramatic than it actually is. :rotfl:
Thanks to all who post constructively.

    ave an A1 day!
  • Why bother to spend your time on this site which is about helping people to spot deals and save money when clearly you do not like the idea of doing this very much yourself........?

Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j

Did you actually read my post?

Spotting deals is one thing. Spotting mistakes and then ripping people off is a different thing.

It's about cutting bills not cutting back and being a sassy consumer. Companies try to screw us for profits. MoneySaving shows you how to (legally) screw them back.
  • Yawn Yawn - so in the future we will have to rely on your moral compass to tell us whether something is a deal or a mistake...........
