I've just killed my panny..

thought it sounded a bit 'rough' the other day but just got a loaf out and it looks like its been chewed by a rottweiler

Anything I can try before buying a new pan??

*It's nearly 2 years old and in daily use so I'm quite pleased it lasted this long!*

I'm cheeky so I'd give the manufacturers a ring and say how wonderful it has been and see if I could wangle a free replacement out of them.. they are always really helpful when I ring.. and morphy richards.. and zanussi.. and Dyson (though useless)..

I make a habit of breaking things lol

I`d let it cool down and then try it again, i don`t know how bad your loaf is but mine seems to make a lot of noise every now and again when its throwing the dough around.
Once in a while the top of the loaf looks a bit like a mr whippy ice cream but is always edible, mines used at least once a day and sometimes twice (three times today ) but is still ok and it`s 13 months old.
    Good luck

CLean the socket on the paddle with hot water and tooth brush or similar, and make sure it fits down well on the D shaped spindle. It should appear a little "loose".

It sounded like a hamster was trapped in there the other day so I gave it a good clean and hoped for the best but on starting it this morning I could hear the paddle slipping (and squeaking)
The loaf is a bit like a Mr Whippy one side but flat as a pancake the other with lumps sticking out :D
When I killed my first MRichards it did the same so I think its dead Dave lol...
Pigpen will try that one with the manufacturers I've wangled free bits from Le Creuset before ;) it's worth a try :D

Just looked and a new pan is around 35 quid on ebay but I can't be without it so will have to cough up if I can't wangle one..at least I got a bit of xmas money so I can use that..

Before going to Ebay dig out the recipe book and look for the service number in the back, and given them a call. If I recall someone (a long time ago) go replacement parts from them direct at a good price.
