Comments for a child's pressie please

I am starting to think about my nephew's birthday. As Xmas has recently come and gone I'm considering the possibility of getting something for 3 years and older. He's a typical boy....being well into cars, tractors etc.... However he has loads of those.

I have come across this and want people's opinions:-

Has anyone got one of these and if so is it useful / well used?

  • Thanks for drawing my attention to this. My four year old daughter is off nursery recovering from a badly broken elbow and has started showing a big interest in "writing". As nursery are going to be starting letter formation and talking about phonics in the next fortnight it looks ideal for the stage she is at.

I have managed to reserve one at my local store. It is good price but I would prob see it as something to put aside and keep until he is ready to use. Not something that he would prob be immediately enthused by but something to grow into.

I spent heaps on those writing practise books for my eldest son so this looks good value being able to download sheets. Vtech usually good quality stuff too.

Don't really intend it to be for 'now'. Last year I bought him a trike thingy. Didn't use it at all at first. However....once he got going a few months later and you couldn't stop him.

Ideally I want to know whether anyone else's son (aged around 2.5 or 3 years) has found this to be good.
