Any cheap washing machines??

Hi, my washing machine has decided to pack in at the worst possible time and I was wondering if there are any good deals out there to be had in terms of washing machines? Any advice would be much appreciated, thankyou!

  • I'm after the same and have been looking around, i'm not really after the cheapest one but one with 8kg or more and a decent brand, wonder if its worth waiting till the new year

Try offer of the day.co.uk (withno spaces, I have no idea why the system won't let me write the full link)

You can then search and find what you want and which is the cheapest.

But don't use their link that goes directly to the site if you want to use a cashback site to save more money

Sorry, it seems that MSE forums doesn't like their site, maybe due to previous grievances not sure but it would let me type in the full link.

I picked up a cheapy one in B&Q today. They had various offers running, and I paid just £126 for a bog standard 1000 spin, 5kg machine. Even if it only does me till next Xmas, I'll be happy enough for that kind of money.

Our 8kg, £400 machine has just died after 14 months of light use, and I will NOT buy another pricey washer ever again. Cheap and second hand for me from now. My old fifty quid machine outlived the two 'fancy' ones I've had, put together! lol

Will be keeping an eye on this thread as I am also in need of a new one. Current one is 4yrs old and is no longer washing clothes clean, rinsing properly or draining out which is an inconvenience I just refuse to put up with after hand-rinsing whole loads on more occasions than I care to remember!

Looking to spend up to £400 including fitting & removal of old model.
