Trust Deed - completion

Hi,
My trust deed is due to end within the near future. I have never missed a mortgage payment and I am looking to re-mortgage and borrow to improve my home. Can anyone suggest options or help with this.

Gilland, my trust deed will have been discharged 4 years in April next year, and I'm still unable to change my bank account from anything other than the basic one. I've got an ISA and a savings account, but I never had a mortgage so don't know anything about that. I would guess it might be worth speaking to your bank and seeing if they can help you.

Don't forget the Trust Deed shows up on your credit record for another 3 years, and any defaults also take 6 years to clear from default date (which should be no later than the protection date of the TD afaik).

Suggest you both ^ check your credit record to see what's recorded. Some creditors get the default date wrong and can sit on your credit record way past when they're meant to be gone!
