HELP... can't connect to internet

ISP has advised "hard resetting" the router and then leaving it for a couple of hours to reinstall itself. Worth a try I guess.
Great idea....... if you want to reinstall wireless settings, security etc, then there's no guarantee of curing the problem.
IMO better to read the manual.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Had a look on the Netgear website although didn't understand much of it! Reset our router which seems to have (kind of) worked - although for some reason I can't connect the Micronet USB dongle to the one PC but it works on the other one. Whereas the Netgear USB dongle works on both. I wouldn't say the problem is completely fixed though as there still seem to be loads of red exclamation marks in Event Viewer and it seems to be taking longer to get a connection. For example:
Event ID 1003 - Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address ___. The following error occurred - The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.
Event ID 4199 - The system detected an address conflict for IP address ___ with the system having network hardware address ___. Network operations on this system may be disrupted as a result.
Event ID 1002 - The IP address lease ___ for the Network Card with network address ___ has been denied by the DHCP server ___ (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).
Any ideas as to what I can try (in plain english for a non-techie) if poss?!?
Thanks!!!0 -
Netgear have told me that as it's a "customised" router, the issue needs to be addressed by the Post Office. Back to square one I guess!!!0
