Hi there - does anyone know what Robert Dyas's policy is on exchanging an unwanted gift? The product's in its original packaging and box but I haven't got the receipt. I'm sure it comes from them though ... Thanks for any advice!

You seem a little unsure if it was from them!
You can call their CS on 01372 361444,( in place of their 0845 number), their returns policy from their website; -
Returns & Refunds
What if I change my mind after placing an order?
Within 28 Days
Not a problem. Our products* are covered by our 28 day no quibble money-back-guarantee as long as they are in their original packaging and unused.
There are 2 ways to return these products (i) Visit one of our local stores with your receipt** and we’ll give you a refund or exchange (ii) Give our Customer Services team a call on 0845 873 5667 and they will arrange for it to be collected, free of charge. As soon as we receive the returned item(s), we will refund the card you made the original purchase with. Please note that for security reasons we can’t refund a different credit/debit card to the one you placed the original order on and we can only send out replacement products to the delivery address specified in the original order. Please also note that we do not refund the delivery cost unless the product is damaged or faulty.
They do ask for a receipt, but if you can prove another way that you purchased from them,( date of transaction, CC statement etc),Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
thanks but think that's for if you've bought from their website isn't it? This is an unwanted gift but I can't ask for the receipt cos it would offend the giver. I know it's from them as saw the huge Dyas bag and they have them on their website.0

Doesn't mean that you can't try? Surely it is worth a phone call, otherwise you are stuck with it without trying for anything!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Just an update - I took the item into the shop and they let me swop it for a couple of other things.0
