Our Honeymoon - Kenya???

Hi guys,
We're trying to decide where to go on honeymoon.
Kenya is the current favourite, with the Voyager hotel catching the eye!
Has anyone had any experience of Kenya or the Voyager hotel as a honeymoon destination?
Also if so, do you have any money saving tips to be aware of when booking - i.e. local safari's etc???
Thanks

Hiya, I think you will get a better response in the travel section. Also, not sure if you are on there already, but the you and your wedding forum has a good honeymoon section. Sorry I don't have any actual useful info!0

Depends on what you want....sun or safari, or both. There are lots of hotels on Nyali Beach. Watamu beach is ok too.
For Safari you would be better going up North. I think Tsavo is on offer from Mombassa but it is a huge, huge park. The first time we visited we were there a week and got excited when we spotted a tortoise!! We were travelling in a Bedford truck so I think the game heard us several hours before we got anywhere near them.
When we lived there for three years we saw more. Some of the tented camps are brilliant and just as good if not better than a hotel.
Lamu is great for a beach holiday...quiet and magical as is Zanzibar.0
