Finally pulled my head from the sand and am feeling like I can tackle our mountain of debts thanks to this site but where to start!
Long story living above our means credit cards and loan, then double whammy of two kids with disabilities thrown in.Had to pack up work which left us in the mire slightly  ..but finally have light at the end of the tunnel thanks to a certain Ted Hutchinson..Claimed all the kids were entitled to so now facing the future more positively.I now need to start getting rid of the debts. We have a loan and 4 cc debts to clear but which do I attack first please help!

The simple answer is overpay what you can to loan/credit card with the highest APR while paying the minimum to the rest, then when the first is paid off add what you were paing to the first to the next loan/credit card with the highest APR.
Also post your income & outgoings (including total amount owed & APR) the folks here willhelp you out in double quick timeEvery day above ground is a good day.0 -
As Big Nige said throw as much money as you can at the cards with the biggest APR, perhaps if you can shuffle balances to the lower rate cards if getting a 0% card is out of the question.
I'd also look at your household budget and see if you can cut back there eg lower insurance policies Gas/elec etc, things you have but don't really need - I ditched my DVd rental thingy as I realised for the amount of films I was getting per month the local DVD shop was my best option. Also look at cutting back on food bills if you can dunno if you shop online if you do check out all the codes for money off on here. All this can help throw money at debts.0
