Re possessed

After having my home re possessed from the building society,northen rock back in October.My ex husband is still a named person on the mortgage that we had on the prpoerty,but have since found out that he has been put on his new partners mortgage back in June some time.Is this legal as he already has a mortgage that he didnt pay hence the house been taken back.

You may want to take some legal advice as, if there is a shortfall, eg Northern Rock sell the property for less than you owe them, they will come after you both for the difference. (for up to 12 years I think)
If he is anything like my ex when we split - he ignored all debts eg joint overdraft and a tax credits overpayment (their fault) and I ended up paying 100% as we were jointly liable - and no-one would accept 50% from me as they knew they would get nothing from him.
It may end up in your favour that he is on another mortgage as he has an asset that can be used to pay his half (or more as he may be the only one they are likely to get anything from)... the reposession will go on his credit file too0 -
If he went onto another mortgage without declaring that he was recently repossessed, that could be fraud. Nothing to prevent him doing this, if he declares when asked the true state of his finances.
