Winter of Discontent, anyone?
Wasn't the Winter of Discontent the end of the 70s, just before Thatcher won the 1979 election? "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer"....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

In one sense that might be right. Some of the stuff we've been packing away over the festive season, may not be at affordable prices next Christmas.
We may all be leaner soon, but I just hope we won't be meaner too.0 -
The man's a deluded, dangerous idiot. The really scary thing is that I really do think he believes he's some sort of genius saviour.
The media annoy me with the whole Brown bounce thing. They should be tearing him to pieces still for what he's doing to this country.
Some Big Brother style democracy is needed.

I dare say it is a wonderful test of character but one we should'nt need to take.
It's ok for these people to sit there in their ivory towers looking down on us from their priviledged positions but they are'nt the ones sitting in the cold worried about bailiffs knocking on the door in the new year like some unfortunate people are.
Nothing this man and his government says or proposes shocks me any more they are turning into nothing more than a dictatorship and I can't beleive they'e been allowed to get as far as they have.0
