Canon mini DV camcorder for £199...at Apple Store [CLOSED]

DAMN! Ordered three of these with friends, and logging into web-site shows that it's been cancelled! No email yet though. Very cheesed off!

If you're just interested in a cheap mini DV camcorder to play around with (which obviously won't be top spec or anything), Boots currently have the JVC GR DX28 for £195. I've just bought it with my Boots points, and although I realise there are better ones on the market, I've tried it and it's been great, and you can't complain when it's free!

You can call Boots customer services and they'll locate one near to you. You can also get one sent to your local branch. Hope this helps someone.

I found out about the canon mvx200i at the apple store via a google group message. I looked at the details and rang up to check they had some in stock. It sounded too good to be be true but I went for it as it did everything I wanted.

I received the camcorder within 3 days and by then the offer had gone from the apple store website.

I think I was one of the lucky ones. Fingers are still crossed, as I keep thinking it's still too good to be true and it's going to explode at any minute.

Me too, really pleased to get it. Have saved myself £200 on car insurance today using the advice on this site, so feel I wasn't being too reckless by ordering it straight away. Glad I did as others are posting they missed out. That's usually me but this time I managed to get in there fast enough. Many thanks to OP.
