where can I downloads books for my new mp3?

I had a MP3 plkayer for Christmasd, I am not very technicallyminded but I want to download books, novels etc to listen to on it while I am at the gym, driving etc. I have a sonywalkman and have been getting audio books from the library and now I wan something similar, and cheap!, for my new gadjet

Does such a thing exist?
