Where is the best place to sell a gold ring and a complimenting gold ring with saphires. They would make lovely engagement ring and wedding ring. Cost together about £800 new and would like to get good/fair price for them. They are in great worn condition.
Thanks

you dont get !!!!!! all if you sell them to cash converters or a pawn shop..i tried my luck on ebay couple years back with a white gold ring which was worth 50 quid thinking id get a tenner for it..it went for 30 which is not bad considering it was well worn. you could always set a reserve and if you have no joy then start taking it to jewellers etcFr. hi apples, i have sold jewellery to jewellers shops before now (prior to the wonderful world wide web!) if you decide to go that route, make a day of it & go to somewhere with plenty of jewellers ( i went to birmingham city centre) and get plenty of quotes, play one shop off against another. (barter!) they will tell you allsorts, out of fashion, quality of stones etc, to offer the minimum they can. see if there is anything you want to do a pert ex for, (if you're not desperate for the cash) they'll give you more for part e.
good luck, but don't expect anywhere near what they are worth!

The problem with jewellry is that the retail outlets make about 200% profit on each item which makes it difficult for anyone selling second hand to get a good price. Ebay with a reserve as suggested is probably your best bet.HLK
