Has anyone noticed that some goods that were on sale before Xmas are now more expensive in the post Xmas sale.
i.e. I was shopping at a designer outlet yesterday and in one shoe shop this woman asked the sales assistant why boots she had bought for £30 before Xmas were now reduced to £40 in the sales? SA said they were a different batch of stock so although the boots were identical (the woman was wearing them) they carry different prices.
OH then saw some boots he'd liked in Clarks in our local shopping centre. They were reduced to £39.99 but he wasn't sure he needed more black boots. In the outlet yesterday they were reduced to £55. OH also reckons a TV he fancied before Xmas for £589 is now £789 though he might be wrong as model numbers do vary even if the TV looks the same.
