Anybody seen a good DVD Recorder?

Hi all,
I've been looking for a cheap DVD Recorder.
The best I have seen so far is this one from Argos:
Wharfedale DVD-R24HDF DVD Recorder with Freeview and HDMI. (533/5725)
I want HDMI and two scarts and a variety of recording formats, so the Wharfdale looks ideal, but has anybody seen one cheaper than £78 (+£6 p&p)?
Many thanks,
Nick.

Hi I had a similar model from Wharfdale that lasted 13 months and then died.My mum also bought one that lasted about the same amount of time but she hardly used it! I would pay the £19.99 extra for the 3 year high risk cover if you go with this one which would still make it reasonably priced.0

Can I make a suggestion. We bought a Hard Disc Recorder/DVD recorder some two years ago (from Lidl) and it has been wonderful. I have transferred all the home videos onto it so I can edit them then put them onto DVD and it looks quite easy (silly thing is having them on there makes them so easy to watch that I haven't bothered with the editing and transfer yet!!).
If you can manage it I would suggest you buy a Hard Disc recorder - if you've got Sky+/Virgin+ don't forget you lose access to what's recorded on them if you leave the service! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks Jane,
I do have Sky+, so I'm not worried about the HDD, the DVD recorder is mainly so that I can save things I want to keep (Films, etc.).
I don't mind paying a bit more if it means I will get something more reliable though. Anybody else have experience of Wharfdale?
Thanks,
