Due to the Empire threads being moved to DB I have found ONE very good reason why they should not stay there but be put back to GRAB IT and without wishing to be unkind I have to say that reason is
wendy04. She is forcing people off topic and while she has the same right as all to discuss these matters, she does seem to upset people quite easily..The birth of Christ and its' celebration seem a long, long way from Empire and are the orders arriving.Guest.0 -

Is it okay to be unkind and then get away with it by saying you have no wish to be unkind? The birth of Christ and its' celebration seem a long, long way from Empire and are the orders arriving.
I take offense on behalf of everybody including those whom I offend about this comment. You are obviously intellectually inferior to me if you can't see the blatant connection between the birth of Christ and the Empire sale.
The best reply to wendy04 I have seen,
"Go take your mouth for a sh**"
I was shocked to see this type of discussion at first as a Grabbit, but I accept this is quite normal in discussions. I also feel that going off-topic in the Grabbit boards is necessary to an extent to allow me to make pointless posts, but it also allows the 'human' element to show through.
I have developed my own opinions regarding people who go onto the Argos thread thanks in part to the 'waffle'.
I do think the Empire thread going off-topic for 14(?) pages was annoying because it mislead people into thinking Empire was something it wasn't, but shouldn't I be allowed to make off-topic observations as long as I don't take it to the extreme?
I think I would prefer there NOT to be a Grabbit discussion forum, I think the Empire thread was a good example of system/forum 'abuse' and perhaps it could be viewed as a 'punishment' for a Grabbit thread to be banished to the open, hostile waters of the Discussions' board. ;D
Having just realised I've disagreed with Aliasojo, I'd like to say "GULP". ;)
P.S.I would've thought the peeps around here would've known my style of writing well enough by now to know that my posts are not aimed to offend.
Butter wouldn't melt, eh Aliasojo (known on the Argos thread as the Newbie-Killer)?
;D
You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Ok, Mr V......up against the wall!!!!!
Only kidding! ;D
I don't have a problem if people disagree with me, I'm not that petty. I'm glad more people are posting here, it's a better gauge of opinion with more input.
The siting of particular boards seems logical and straightforward to me, but I understand that others will not feel the same.
One thing I would ask of you though.....can we kill the newbie killer jokes please? I'm not offended in the least and I found it quite funny, but I'm a little concerned that I am ending up with a reputation of being completely against newbies and that's not the case.
Since the Argos thing started, I have spent ages patiently writing the same replies to people in an effort to help. I composed an Eminem type 'funny' that was tongue-in-cheek, in the hope that newbies would take on board what I was saying without being too offended.
I could have curtly told them all to read the posts, but I tried to inject humour into the situation. When I realised that there may have been people who were not very impressed with the little ditty, I immediately apologised for any offence caused.
I'm just a bit worried now that the banter will be overlooked and I shall end up with a reputation of being an out and out hater of newbies. :-/ You know how these things can escalate.Herman - MP for all!0
