Platinum/white gold ring. Good deals?

I want a ring, similar to my platinum wedding ring but wider. Because I don't want it to look like another wedding ring, I think it needs to be wide and flat, rather than thin and rounded.
I have seen one I like in a high street jewellers. It's white gold but I don't understand how they grade them and what sort of price I should be looking at. I would be happy with a second hand one if I can find a nice one.
Any tips? I really don't know how to do it. I don't want to spend more than 70 or 80 pounds at the very most. But I'll be wearing it every day and intend to keep it for life, so it has to be durable.
Thanks.

The jewellery quarter in Birmingham is really good. You cut out the middle man as a lot of stuff is done on the premises. I got my wedding ring and engagement ring from there. My hubby paid some great prices for them - so much cheaper than the high street.0
