online -instore sales

i found a dvd i wanted for a few weeks online at hmv costing £5.49 i went to the hmv store and the price was £7.

i asked the assistant maneger if he coud match the online price but he replied no because the online side was based in jersey(no tax) (like tesco jersey online)

so needless to say i just ordered online.

my advice is during sales is compare the online price with instore price as sometimes online price can be cheaper than instore

Do remember though that with PCworld and some other places, you can go online and reserve to pick up instore at the online price

What's a bit annoying is when, like I have, you've got gift vouchers to use (HMV) - you've got to go to the shop when the website is often quite a bit cheaper. Oh well! :(

  • I bought Toy Story 1 & 2 - 4DVD set for £8.99 online, instore today it was £22.00 which is more than double the price. I know a lot of the time it's cheaper online but surely it shouldn't be that big a difference???
