If you book the hotel and train seperately you'll save money there - I did this and it was half the price of going with Cresta. Also go via Quidco to book the Hotel direct with DLP. You get breakfast with most of the Hotels and if you stay on resort the tickets are included (so this usually means this is the cheapest option).

I have to be honest and say we have never seen discounts into Marne La Vallee (this is direct into DLP on the ES) but if you go via Paris you might find a discount for that. How old is your lad? Under 4's travel free on the Eurostar although it is a bit of a pain if the train is packed.

Where are you travelling from? You can buy a ticket that lasts a year with National Express for £8, this gives one free childs ticket when you travel via Eurolines - which goes direct into Paris. You can get Eurolines tickets quite cheaply if you book in advance - around £42 for an adult so with the annual ticket that is £50 for the both of you - from London. It does take much longer though, but it means you'll be able to travel from nearer your home so might save on hotel fees too if you live further north.

There are cheaper ways it just means travelling longer.

You cannot book the ES for May yet, it is 4 months before travel but they are not too badly priced (however, I am not sure if this has changed now that the £/E rate has plummetted) I was able to get tickets for us at £54 and for the kids at £23 - and these were returns from Ashford. Just check the website every day to get the tickets as soon as they are for sale and then you will get the cheapest ones.

The website www.disneylandparis.co.uk - choose the 'hotels tab' at the top of the page, they were the cheapest we could find when we went and it also shows you any available offers such as 3 nights for 2 etc.... We found 'Kids go Free' and 3 nights for the price of 4 - it cost £326 for 4 of us and that included tickets to get in and breakfast. We booked this direct. After booking you can also call up and book the 'Disney Express' so when you get to MLV you can leave your cases, collect your tickets and check in at the hotel later, if you are staying in a resort hotel. It is £14 per adult and kids are free.

Check out the Trips and Travel board for a long thread on Moneysaving at DLP http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=527819&highlight=DLP the rate is not very good at the moment and it was expensive before - I did not take the kids this year as it would have been so much more - and I doubt I'll take them this year either - as it is just too expensive now that the Euro rate is bad. Please do be aware of this too, the food is quite expensive but will be more so now that the rate is dismal.

I'd be more inclined to say save as much money as you can in an account rather than booking in advance and book a short while before you go because if the £/E dives further it will cost you an absolute fortune. A basic burger meal in Disney Village costs around 12 Euros - £12 with the rate as it is. The chapest food we found was a ham baguette with crisps on the side which was from the bar in our Hotel (sequoia lodge) and that was 5 Euros.

Also be advised to avoid the school Holidays - especially French holidays when the kids are off school - as it is rammed and you spend the whole day in queues for just a few rides. Go have a read of the thread as this is will be more useful and you'll find ways to save money all around.
  • Dear All,

First of all wishing you all a pleasant end to 2009 and a Happy New Year 2010 to all.

I am looking sell my 150 Euros of Disneyland vouchers for about £200. These are valid to use at vast majority of shops at Euro-disneyland Paris (about 40 kms from Paris) until mid November 2010. The vouchers can be sent via recorded delivery or special delivery to the purchaser once payment has been accepted.

    Happy New Year to all.
