Currys and returns

Sorry If I have posted in wrong place but new to site!.
just been down Currys to return a faulty MP3 player we had bought for my daughter for Christmas.
Currys told us we would have to come back tomorrow and pointed to a tiny sign that was stating due to Currys being busy they were doing no returns or refunds as they were too busy and it would slow up service!
Can anyone confirm if this is legal?

I can't say whether it's legal or not, but this has been the case with PC World and Currys for some time now.0

It's the same in most shops at this time of year , next etc.0

Managed to get a full refund from Argos this morning. A very helpful and understanding young lady at their customer service desk. A BIG well done to Argos and that very pleasant young lady.0

I too have had dreadful experiences at Currys and won't shop there any more no matter how enticing the prices.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
