Want To Exchange Blu Ray Disc @ Tesco!!

Hi

Don't know if posting in the correct place but here goes!

We were given Mama Mia on Blu Ray disc as a xmas gift, was purchased from tescos and we have the receipt from the relative who purchased it.

Problem - we don't have a blu ray disc player - only old fashioned DVD.

Tesco are not prepared to exchange it, they are saying we have opened the wrapper! It did not come in a wrapper and there are other discs in the shop with out wrappers!

The duty manager (highest staff member available) was adamant that company policy states blah blah blah.

Is it worth pursuing this? We don't want money back all we want is to watch Mama Mia - we would even purchase another dvd aswell as blu rays are dearer than dvds so tesco would be approx £5.00 better off!

So annoyed, young duty manager accused us of copying it and trying to fleece them, while at the same time another man returned the very same disc which the woman later admitted was not even purchased from tecos, but happily swapped!

Sorry!!

Get all tech savy on the guy and tell him Blu-Ray has not been cracked yet so you can't copy it (which is a lie because it has)

    OR

Tell him you only have a laptop which doesnt have a Blu-Ray player.

    THEN

Ask him. "I would need a Blu-Ray player to play this, right? So if I had one on my PC I wouldnt be bringing this back to exchange it because I have a Blu-Ray player. But I dont have a Blu-Ray player so how can I copy it"

See what he says to that.

ask to swap it for a non blu ray one? this way he knows you just want to watch it and not just get a refund. This is what i would try then if doesnt work maybe try an idea above? hope this helps.x
