Radio 1 - Newsbeat at 5.45...

Apparantly it's something to do with saving/investments and a high street branch giving an interest rate 40% higher then any other??

I can't listen as I'm at work.. but would be very interested in what's said! Can get on the website either as blocked at work! :(

Anyone know anything about it? Apparently the market is set to get really competative (which is excellent for us!!).

not something like Nationwides current account interest rate change in April? i.e. it becoming 4.25% makes it probably 40% higher if not more than most other major High Street banks i.e. Barclays and the like?

Hopefully all of the big names will be falling over each other to offer great rates for current accounts for a few years now. I've got a LTSB and A&L account at 4% and 5% respectively. Better than most savings accounts.
