that looks like it's from a pound shop (from my dearly beloved, soon to be ex-in laws). How will i ever cope without these people in my life???? :rotfl:
(and yes, it's the thought that counts, but I think the only thoughts that went into it were of how to make me feel as crap as possible)
What did you get Linda? Did you have a good day?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Ick...vodka!
Can't stand the stuff, it's like drinking washing up water!

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Exactly. It's stressing me out, thinking of ...... where to put them when they arrive.....what if they get lost in the post from Sammy to me....shall I drive down and collect them.....that sort of thing :rotfl:
I once threw OH's tickets to see Blondie in the bin, he had put them on the breadbin in an envelope and I thought it was junk mail as I saw a couple of leaflets inside but didnt spot the tickets.
He realised they were missing as he was leaving for the show, he had another 3 peoples tickets also luckily the bin men werent due until the next day but they were covered in beans:eek:
I felt sooooooooooo awful:oBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Yes we had a nice quiet Christmas Day,
My sis stayed up in Newcastle with her newish chap so it's the first one we've had for a few years as just us 4 so we could relax a bit.
My hubby got me a white gold & diamond necklace, a Russell Howard dvd and the Alan Carr book so I did pretty well.
Kids are very impressed with their haul.
Going to have a turkey, stuffing and cranberry butty for tea now because dear son just hijacked my pizza....is nothing sacred?

I once put a £20 gift voucher in the bin a few years back when money was VERY tight. It was a birthday gift from my parents and was earmarked for food from Tesco.
I pulled absolutely everything out of the wheelie bin until I found it when I realised where it probably was - I didn't care how yucky the contents were! I found it safely inbetween a couple of bits of junk mail.

OMG, I really do need a SAFE place. Where will you put your Mozza tickets when they come?Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I have fished out a £10 winning lottery ticket out of the bin too:D
OH once said he had checked the lottery and we hadnt won, I was checking another week online later and the week he thought he had checked we had actually won 4 numbers............................ticket was long gone:eek:
Still dont think I have totally forgiven him for that one:rotfl:
Anyone else thrown something of value away? But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
My ex once threw away 2 cookery books by mistake and they were brand new.
I had bought them from the Book People at work. One was a huge encyclopaedia kind of book, can't remember the other one. I put them on the table on top of some paper work and realised the next day the paperwork and the books were gone. He had put the whole lot in the bin without looking at what was there - he thought it was all old newspapers!
And the bin had been collected that morning
