That's right, i tried the quick pay kiosks today after reserving Wii Table Tennis and Carnival Mini Golf games for £9.80, but it came up at £19.xx

So i went to tills with email print out and they honoured both games for £9.80. Then we proptly went and sold the mini golf game for £9 as he just wanted the table tennis one!

Thanks FloFlo, my fella is well chuffed with his 80p brand new game :T

  • i went to argos this morning and the manager refused to sell the games at that price even though i had print out with what had been reserved and at what price.

    Should I try another branch?

There was a glitch on Argos last year two games cheap (rabbit game and some ball game) and get a charger half price if you get both. When I when to till they wouldnt honour the price so watch this, Argos do state this when they go to pay the price is what you pay at the time

I tried doing this today, and was refused. The SA on duty called store support and they came back that they couldn't honour as the price was incorerct on website and therefore was "too good to be true".

Unfortunately, they are right, and Argos (or any other store) are not obliged to sell the item.

It could be worth trying a different store, as another supervisor/manager might just override without question, I think it's luck of the draw. Could be worth adding some other items to the reservation, so the glitch is Hidden, by the other items at full price. You could always return the 'unwanted' gifts under the 30 day money back thing.
