  • Or you could buy the ink and fill yerself. The cartridges you mention are the same as mine and are a doddle to fill. See https://www.oddparts.com for detailed instructions. Buy the ink from any supermarket.

There are lots of options to save on ink costs. Personally I never buy branded cartridges as these are more than double the cost. Sometimes I do find that the quality from these is not 100% but I am more than happy to make do with that for the cost saving.

I find that ebay is great for finding compatible ink at bargain prices. There are plenty of listings and not that much competition for them. (got my last one for 20p plus 95p postage!)

I always buy mine off ebay. I have an epson r300 printer. I always use the buy it now option on ebay, always buy the epson original cartridges - never the shops own ones as having sold remanufactured ones in the past I know the shops get a 90% profit margin on them and alot of them are returned faulty. If buying on ebay I also always make sure that the person I am buying them off has a high level of feedback or even has a ebay computer shop!

Normally I can get all 6 (epson branded) cartridges for my printer for £25 including recorded delivery, whereas in the shops they would cost approximately £70 for all 6.
