  • There are a lot of cheapies out there that can fool you into thinking they have decent cells, but they don't! They either completely die in a few months or just don't work at all when you get them. The best company I discovered was Denaq. Batteries from this company are not going to last just as long as the ones you buy from Dell, and the battery will come with a 1 year warranty. I thought this was cool because I couldn't really find an established company who makes WORKING batteries who offered this until now. I'm not sure which model you have, but you might be looking at $60 or $70, depending on where you buy it.
  • Sorry. Forgot to put in the last one that they make chargers too. So you could most likely get them them both for under $100.
  • The first post should read "are going to work as long as the ones from Dell". Sorry for mixup.

    Hi
Not sure about the battery but I recently bought a cable/charger for my laptop (it wasn't dell but I assume it works the same).

I was quoted by PC World for a universal charger around £70 which I declined (I told them I would buy a new laptop before paying that for a cable:D ). I managed to crank up an old computer and got a cable of Amazon for £17.99.

Is your machine still in warranty? You could get a free battery off dell if it's died within the first year of it's life.

laptop out of warranty now, have seen some on ebay (from uk) but am a little cautious as they only seem to come with a few months warranty and would like to buy from reliable supplier but dont want to spend a fortune on it
  • I also bought denaq battery here newpcbattery.com for my Dell laptop and I happy with that battery. I do not have any problem at all. They are not overheating and have 1 year warranty. Insted of China manufacture denaq are locate in USA.
