Ideas to break up a journey from Edin - Inverness
Options
Hi,
Heading to Inverness on Sunday from Edinburgh. I know the A9 up to Pitlochry like the back of my hand and nice little places to stop, including Queens View north of Pitlochry.
I am looking for ideas to stop off and view / visit, bearing in mind it's a Sunday North of there as I've only driven that stretch of A9 a few times.
I like nice views / things to photograph / cute towns, was thinking of heading through Kingussie.
Any MSErs got suggestions ?
Thanks in advance

Hiya. Something that came to mind was the Hermitage near Dunkeld (?) and as you mentioned Kingussie, I thought of the Highland Folk Museum, but I think it might be closed for the winter....?

Thanks for that, but looking for things North of Pitlochry. I have walked to the Hermitage so many times with guests and friends over the years (on a loop with Edradour, Moulin Inn, Pitlochy and Queens View !)
But will look in that HIghland Folk Museum when I am next there in the summer****************************0 -

Hiya. Sorry, I read your post too quickly...:o I hear you about the walk to the Hermitage - it became a regular stop on our way to Sutherland... I've not walked to the Falls of Bruar, though, nor have I stopped in the Tomatin/Findhorn area.... Hope other MSE'ers :T have better suggestions for you.Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:
