Sulfate and cone free shampoo and conditioner

Can anybody recommend a range of shampoo and conditioner that doesn't contain sulfates such as sodium laureth sulfate or silicones such as dimethicone?
I have heard ok things about Aubrey Organics and Giovanni, however they are quite pricey (would cost about £20 for shampoo and conditioner delivered from online shops).
I have dry, curly colour treated hair that I straighten, if thats any help.

Nakedbodycare.co.uk stock a good range of natural hair and body products. Boots stock a limited range of their products. I was in Boots a few days ago, and they were doing a buy one get one free on all Naked hair products. Aveda is also a good range, but far more expensive than the Naked products. We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0

This lady makes her own stuff at home, is 100% NATURAL with no chemicals etc. I havn't got round to using it myself but my friend swears by thier stuff for baby products. HTH:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
I use Palmolive shampoo for coloured hair which doesn't have SLS in it, though it does have dimethicone. TBH I'd never heard of it, what does it do to you?:wave:0

I've used the Naked shampoo range and prefer the one for sensitive scalps but I found I used more than I would with Aveda - Aveda does last for ages. The Balance Me range is nice, but again, like Aveda, not cheap. Green People's range is good, priced about midway between Aveda and Naked. MoP made my head itch.0

I find that silicones leave a heavy coating on my hair and don't wash away properly. My curls are also better without them, as they weigh down my hair.noonesperfect wrote: »I use Palmolive shampoo for coloured hair which doesn't have SLS in it, though it does have dimethicone. Thanks for the Naked tip. I've got both shampoo and conditioner for £3.91. Worth giving it a go, I thought!0 -
I also like Aveda (have a sensitive scalp) esp their scalp therapy shampoo. It is v expensive but you only need a little bit - I've had the same bottle for at least 6 months and I use it at least 3 times a week...0
