I had to buy a Xmas tree, lights and decs for work from argos. Spent over £50 and got a £5 giftcard, which I then used to buy myself a new toilet seat.

SH - good luck on the job front - hope all goes well.
Have signed up for the Qype Virgin challenge - did 12 reviews last night and am snuggling down to do more this afternoon while OH is at a non-league football match. I think I've got the better deal, as it's looking very grey out there.
Other than that, I'm about halfway to another Bport voucher, depending on how my posting goes this afternoon. I can manage about 10 in one go, then my eyes start to cross... Then I'll do the free scratchies, and go and cook paella for tonight.0 -
Holly we're doing the same this afternoon!!! Except my oh is in his workshop building steam engines - and it will be curry not paella for tea!!ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

Thanks everyone for the advice about qype reviews. I am halfway there with the challenge. Going to give it a rest now and do some tomorrow, then try to do a few during the week so should finish easily for next weekend. I don't seem to be very lucky at bingo so the qype challenge is more productive for me.
Good news is I have been huting eveywhere for a new winter coat I could afford, mine is ten years old and I feel ashamed wearing it. Well I got one today, £60 reduced to £30. Glad I hung on for something I really liked, it has a loose button but i can soon sort that. Ordered £400 of Sainsburys vouchers for £380 so thats another £20 saved and my shopping and petrol sorted for the month. So £50 today and hopefully £50 voucher earned in the coming week.Sell £1500

All those MSErs tap-tapping away...
In my OH's case, I think he's still recovering from his mystery shopping assignments; I did ask him this week if his expenses would include a new liver! :eek:0 -
Just added another £16 towards my total. Had money put aside for my evening class, turned out to be cheaper this term, so adding the saved money to my total. Have done a bit of overtime this week, so should bump up the figures next week.
