I've started making weird sock creatures sort of like sock monkeys inspired by a book "stupid sock creatures" that i found, thought they would be good for boys/ mens/ presents? if you type "stupid sock creatures" into google there's also a site with a brilliant gallery of ideas .picures of my first 2 creations are on my blog if you want to look

Thanks for that Helen and Greenpixey. Don't you need some kind of voucher or proof of purchase though?
Nope I did it just through that link & didn't need any codes or anythingYou do pay the postage which I assume is how they recoup some of the money.
Hugs

I agree girls seem to be easier. Don't know if this helps, but last Christmas I made a birdwatching hamper for 4 year old twins. An A4 paper box from work covered in wrapping paper and filled with birdfood and feeder set (on offer in Aldi), two sets of binoculars (ebay - they look like toys but actually work) and a bird identification book aimed at small children (amazon or ebay, can't remember which). It was very well received and a bit different from usual.
I'm thinking about a gardening set for this year. Easy to grow seeds, brightly coloured pots, small tools etc. (depends what's on offer really). My now 3 1/2 year old DS adores helping me in the garden and he'll taste all the fruit and veg we grow together.
He also loves looking at the moon and stars, so I'm thinking about a space hamper for them sometime. Need to work out the details, but you can sometimes pick up very cheap telescopes so maybe warm hats and gloves a torch and some star charts (I suspect you could even download these).

Love your ideas :T
For a space hamper:
A pack of those glow in the dark star shapes - think I've seen these in Asda before?
At http://www.freenameastar.com/register.php you can name a star for free and print a certificate.
Don't know where you are but there is a Space Centre in Leicester and they accept Tesco Clubcard vouchers for entrance fee, could maybe include a day out to the Space Centre in your hamper? http://www.spacecentre.co.uk/home/:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I buy for my friends 2 boys, one is 4 and the other is 2. I struggle with their birthdays and christmas. They both have plenty of toys and I know what its like to be over run with things.
So I was thinking this year I could make them something, or maybe put together a craft set. Last year it was a cooking one for the older boy so thats out.
I am really stuck for ideas, I am a mum of two girls and I find girls alot easier to buy or make for!
I made up a craft box for my youngest son (he's 2) for Xmas and he loves it, got lots of great stuff in Poundland, Home Bargains and Wilkos. Playdoh is a definite favourite:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Right ladies,
I want to pick your brains
I’m accumulating quite a collection of glass ramekins (I am totally addicted to Gu Vanilla & Chocolate Cheesecakes even though they're 8points per portion!)
Anyway I’m starting to think about things I can use them for, my first thought was homemade scented candles or mini cakes but then I thought I’ll ask on here as I bet some of you have some great ideas I could use…. (they're these ones http://www.gupuds.com/our-puds/posh-ramekin-puds/choc-vanilla-cheesecakes WARNING - don't click on this link if like me you struggle with will power)
I’m ok on the practical but rubbish when it comes to original ideas:rotfl:
Paint the pots with glass paint and give/use as:-
tealight holders,
coin catchers (for a man!),
desk tidies for paperclips etc,
tea bag holders (in a tea hamper) for used teabags
simply put 4 in a box with a small recipe book for desserts,
put in a box with some tealights and glass paints/ glass nuggets etc as a craft kit for some onePucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
she grinch with all those possible ideas for the ramekins i'm thinking i should go and buy some of these puddings!Word for 2023 …PROACTIVE 🧡 2023 -decluttering campaign 1020/2023 ⭐️⭐️Saving towards paying off car in November…£720/£1500 🚗0

I don't want to be negative and please don't take this the wrong way but wanted to warn you that we bought our ds a national geographic telescope for his birthday. It wasn't the cheapest one (£25) and according to OH it was useless - he couldn't even see the moon with it. He took it back in the end and got one from aldi but it did cost alot more and is twice the size:eek:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
