NEgirl - love the elf............he's so cute and the stuff on your blog is brilliant:T
All I''ve done today is drag out the ever useful gravy tub, cover it with rudolph paper, little image off google for the lid and thats reindeer food for one of my foster daughter little boy...........along with an empty paste jar (retrieved before OH chucked it out) ........stuck pretty paper round it and a rudolph image..........thats reindeer poo for the same little boy. Did a flannel reindeer for him yesterday, and filled a snowman/jar up, a spare robins christmas breakfast I'd got and that'll be his xmas eve box.
We don't normally do 'presents' but this girl has been so helpful what with OH being ill and I know she's bought me a little craft kit to 'cheer me up', so though its not a lot I know she'll be thrilled.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello all!
I have been MIA for ages, been getting things ready for my very first craft fair, and been busy having flu and various colds and bugs (I love my son's preschool...)
I would really love it if a few of you could have a look at my blog and give me some feedback on what I've been up to, pleaseI'm going to spend this evening making my blog pretty so please excuse any randomness during!

Thank you! That grey bag used to be a pair of jeans that are too big (yay!) The only problem with me making all these bags and things is that I just want to keep them!
Mary, I just used carbon paper to transfer the design on to the fabric and then used a simple backstitch to follow the lines - give it another go, you should see my first attempt :rotfl: I've since done the robot on a tshirt for my son and it's now his favourite, he says I am a cool mummy! And when my little girl is wearing something I've made she tells people all the time 'Mummy made this for me, its special' - bless, she is only 2!!Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00

Hi
I have been following this thread for a while now although I am not very good at this sort of thing I thought I would like to have a go at some of the ideas I have seen on here. I was wondering if you could let me know how to make the sweet packets you have on your blog. I thought they would make a nice little gift for the children I work with.

jenagain............think I'll have another look at some of the sites. I'd found one (can't remember which now but was one with primitive folk art stitching on) and found christmas tree design......ever so easy -well ought to have been, but mine didn't look quite right somehow. Maybe its 'practise makes perfect'. I'll have another go over the weekend and see whatelse I can find thats a bit 'festive' but very basic.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

That second link has a cross stitch pattern on it, but you could just use the lines as a guideline.Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00

HELP PLZZZZZZZZZ have been doing all the questions today for my journal jars-looking good- but when ive come to add ribbon around the lid of the kilner jar i cant see the best place to put it.have been looking online to see pics others have made but having one of those days when searches are all futile as most journal jars and gift jars photos i can find are screw top jars.
did find a couple of kilner jars ones but where they have put their ribbons it will just slide odd on mine so do others stick it all around with adhesive tape or is there something simple im missing?PROBABLY LOL !!!!!
could others show me pics of their kilner jar gifts or point me in the direction of photos of them for me to examine
this has been driving me crazy tonight and im driving hubby crazy about it as well
have taken over his puter as its upstairs to search as my laptop is downstairs -much prefer my laptop bet i would be able to find what i need on their LOL
hope you can help me in this as would love to get them finished this weekend, even though im gonna start decorating my bedroom but im off all week so plenty time to do plenty things
