I was after a new lawn mover and I stumbled across this one(after a recommendation somewhere else in mse forums). Apparently it's Which mag recommended for small gardens.

Free P&P.

There's also a 20% discount for your first internet order.

Cheapest on ebay is £70 graded or £75 new with del. charges added. Tesco do it for £91.98.

how are you actually getting the 20% off your first order?...cos when i go to the Great universal wesite i can see it listed there as a promotion, but when i add the item to my masket & checkout as a new customer it's not applying 20%? (top tip about the topcashback too!)...shouldn't I be seeing it or does the 20% discount come back to me by way of credit to spend on other Great universal stuff?

....begs the question what if you pay via credit card the full £47.99....I guess it'll mean you'll have £8.00 in GUS credit on your statement - I much prefer a firm instant discount as opposed to being locked in to their (from recollection) high normal prices.

May be you are right .... but I shopped with Abound which is more or less same company and I paid by credit card. I phoned them after the money was taken out and they were kind enough to refund 20% to my credit card. I am hoping that same will apply to this company
