Is anyone having a problem paying on the Debenhams site? My payments keep being rejected as not being authorised, definitely an error.....0

Just to let people know, some things in the Debenhams online sale are now more expensive than they were before Christmas!

I was thinking that too!
I've been having a look - only wanted a few little bits and pieces - I wanted some childrens slipper socks for my daughters and they are now showing as reduced from £7.00 to £3.50 - for 1 pair!!!
what a bargain.... I think not!!0 -
Had a look at the debenhams sale online and instore and i thought it was very poor, no real bargains and not many sizes left. infact somethings were cheaper before christmas than they are now..My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

I agree - I thought it was just me ! I think the sales in all the shops are the same or worse than last year - the usual leftover tat, or decent stuff not reduced much. I think it is in the interest of the shops to create a bit of 'oh my god, there are loads of bargains due to the credit crunch' hysteria so people go a bit mad. The newspapers were hyping this up this weekend, saying shops were slashing prices 'up to' 75%. However, they always do reduce a handful of tat by 75%.urbancookie1 wrote: »Had a look at the debenhams sale online and instore and i thought it was very poor, no real bargains and not many sizes left. infact somethings were cheaper before christmas than they are now..
I've yet to see all these amazing reductions the press are talking about.
Is it me ??0 -
But these sales make people buy! I had been eyeing up a coat for my daughter in Debenhams which was £45 before the sale. We had tried it on but she preferred a different one. I kept an eye on it because I really liked it. I thought if it got reduced I'd buy it for next year. It went down to half price before xmas but there were loads there and no-one was buying. Now the sales are on I went back. The price hasn't been reduced further but there was one only one small one left.0

The media doesn't help!! This is their story of the moment to run with, so they're going to exaggerate to get a good story!
I went into a Debenhams store today and it had much less choice than what was online when their sale started. Either they've sold everything decent already, or there was nothing worth buying there in the first place...maybe because everything was bought when they had huge discounts before xmas! Either way I think i've done my sales shopping until the next round...i guess Easter??!0
