Good afternoon everybody and a very Happy Christmas to you all.
We will be eating at around 3.00 as my wife is working - another Christmas shift  . I've spent most of the morning preparing the veg - I love sprouts too, DID, even though they don't particularily like me.
Still, as the turkey is now in the oven, I've found time to look in on my virtual friends - good to see so many on line. :T :T
So, as I prepare to over indulge myself before falling asleep in front of the telly (got the DVD of 'The Great Escape' in case it's not on any of the freeview channels  ) I wish you all::xmastree: :santa2: 'Merry Christmas' :santa2: :xmastree:

Merry Christmas all, think best present I had was kids being understanding and not linching me, when I didn't get up at silly o'clock, cause think lurgy is back.
Anyhow they patiently waiting till 9am and for me to make my first cuppa. First year they have not had a cooked breakfast on xmas day. Then the house became a bombsite. Youngest seemed more thrilled over his hat (those flappy sided things thats all the rage and what I had actually bought as a stocking filling, till I realised I couldn't fit anymore in the stocking) then someof his other stuff.
Was great that all the kids where really happy with what they got, even though they only had about £50-£60 each spent on. Admittedly £35 worth of stuff was still done on credit, but that was skateboards in sale at half price each.
Well Dinner is now all cooking and with luck will be ready for around 1:30, and table is all laid (just cant find my christmas table cloth).
Anyhow, ENJOY all.19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -

First time ever, a meal was ready for roughly when I planned:j:j. Everyone is now having a stomach settle break, before kids do the pots (well if they want any tea tonight, we need the crockery and cutlery cleaning. Plenty of mash left over to use as a topping for a Sheppard pie. Some peas carrots and swede that can also go in it to bulk it out. Half a chicken left, and will use the meat from wings and a leg to make chicken curry for the kids.
Think meal planning with remainders of today's dishes is in stall.19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -
