Slowcooking a christmas pudding

I've made a 2lb xmas pud this year. Its already ad the 8 hour steaming, but the problem is how to cook the damn thing for xmas day.

MIL doesnt want to steam it on the hob as "it will take up space". She did suggest to microwave it, but its got metal in it (coins) so thats out of the question. The only solution left is to slowcook it, but for how long?

Thanks in advance

Slow cooking the pudding is the best thing ever--- also putting the made gravy in a big thermos flask. I put the slow cooker with the alreadycooked pudding in as soon as I get up -- which is generally early and leave it on all day until we eat --- which can be late. As long as you check that it does not dry out it is absolutely delicious. Have an great day
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • I always slow cook my pudding too, just put it in the cooker and add boiling water up to about half way up the basin and switch to high for about 4 hours. My mum always does hers in the slowcooker overnight on Low and it's always delicious (probably too late now though!)

    Merry Christmas
