Was thinking of doing Turkey Crown in slow cooker tonight. Any thoughts?

    I wouldn't, not if you want roast turkey. Bung it in the oven, couldn't be easier.

    It may well be moister and indeed tasty, but don't expect it to be have a golden brown crispy skin. If I were you I'd do a search for slow cookered chicken for hints and tips from someone less opposed to the slow cooker;)

    Why not slow roast and then finish off in oven to brown it up?

    Just be sure it is properly cooked.

    I'd stick it in the oven, break it's back so it fits better in the roasting tin & keep turning it every half hour till done, easy!!!

    definitely in the oven
    yes is more tender but skin aint crispy -is gloopy


    i've done chicken in sc but much prefer it in oven so do my boys cos they like the crispy skin
    Time is the best teacher
    Shame it kills all the students
