Very encouraging rosie.
Deffo think this is the way I wanna go.
Have had a few 'rough' years at work, and have always felt tied due to a mortgage hanging over my head. I have been re-thinking recently and reckon if I was mortgage free then a lot less would do me, and if need be I could tell them to stick their job, and then do something more enjoyable even if it means working for less money.
Going to see the A&L advisor today. Won't get new mortgage sorted before I move to SVA in April. But need to see projections from their flexible mortgage so I can decide if if wanna jump ship to an offset bank account with someone else. Currently, all our eggs are in the A&L basket

Took our change jar, a large plastic container like they have in traditional sweet shops, and gave it to Comic Relief.
Maybe it's £50 quid or so that could have gone to the mortgage but hey what the hell !RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004

Latest rate reduction letter arrived from C&G today bringing rate down to 1.08% and worth just over £38 pound. I have rounded the overpayment up again another £50 starting next month.
My spreadsheet says this is worth 2 months earlier completion at current OP rates !RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004
