Hello,
this is going to be our MFI5 challenge diary. We have taken inspiration from other members diaries so hopefully, ours can help others to pick up the gauntlet to !
We will look to update regularly with progress and hopefully take more money from the C&G's pockets and back into ours !
Nervous but up for it ! :j

Those are impressive numbers in your signature already, but do post them in the forum too so they are captured as they will alter on all posts when you change them to show your progress. You've set quite a challenging target so best wishes in that for 2009 and beyond.
I look forward to reading more.0 -
Hello Rosie and welcome! You've done so well with that mortgage already - well done on that. How are you planning to raise the OP's? There are certainly a few ideas on here to choose from - you say you've already read some of the other threads so I guess you have some ideas!
Looking forward to seeing your progress!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi Rosie
I am new to MFW as well - I can so relate to your feeling of being nervous but up-for-it.
Good luck on your journey :beer:0 -

Hi,
thanks for the messages, we are fortunate in having a very good level of disposable income following some recent changes to our circumstances. If we had not been motivated by the other postings on this forum, we could very easily have gone into the silly route of better car, bigger house, holiday home etc. The aim is not to go overboard, we still want to make sure we enjoy ourselves. But, we want to make sure we make the right decision long term - this for us is about creating choices for ourselves in the future.
Good luck to everyone else already on the journey, or embarking with us and especially to those of you have lurking and feeling nervous to jump in !RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004

I spent a very enjoyable 15 minutes on the phone to my BS on Friday and found that my overpayments during the end of last year had been higher than I realised and that I had failed to take into account the falls from the regular payments !
Into the £143's now and below £144K
Chuffed to bits as i had used an earlier figure for this challenge and went straight on line and added another £100 to my overpayment - OK the interest rate has falen but rounding up is addictive - £1100 per month fort he rest of the year it is !:rotfl:
I have also followed someone elses advice and joined Quidco - was about to book a trip to Amsterdam from expedia in any case - results in £39 coming back so more for the pot.RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004
