Hi there
We managed to pay off just over 40k during 2008....
2009 will see us earn substantially less, but we still aim to overpay 20k. A regular overpayment of £518 starts in Jan, and any spare cash will go against the mortage rather than into savings. We are on a rate of 2.17% at the moment - but this ends in November 2009.
Here's hoping acheive our aim!

Good luck with your challenge :j. Even with a reduced income you will benefit greatly from last year's OP's as so much more of your payment will go to reducing the capital :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

What a great rate too & I thought mine was good at 2.74"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.
