word of warning about fife council

I heard from the oh (who works for them) that fife council are aiming the cameras at the gates of the recycling centres this year to catch the people and registrations to fine them for dumping all their boxes and xmas waste at the gates of the recycling centres. In the past they have put extra skips outside but folks were just throwing the stuff in front of the gates :mad: and the workers couldnt get in and was taking hours to clear the tons of rubbish from the front of the gates. just a word of warning if u dont want want a fine - either hang on to it til they open on the 27th or put it in the skips but these usually fill up quickly so think I'll hang on til they open up again in case the skips are full and it's a wasted journey.

Why warn people, anyone that does that kind of thing deserves to get caught. If they are the type to dump stuff at a locked gate then they are the type to dump it anywhere, concern for recycling is not top of their agenda.

Indeed, lets hope this year Fife Council dump it in the right place then eh? After last xmas if I remember correctly, tons of recycleable waste went direct to landfill, wasn't recycled at all!
