A child wouldn't cause that much damage would they??!!??:rolleyes:Wycombe Till I Die0 -

I would rather have the sensors fitted although I do reverse slowly in case of a child or pet runing behind the car. Everyone to their own. I have never hit a child or pet and hopefully never will. You just cannot be careful enough in my opinion.0 -
Yeah I know!!
I always am careful around kids or our pet dog. Sensors are something I'd go for in a new car but not as an add on - just too messy and fiddly for me.
The sat nav gets on my nerves to having to take it out the car each time so you can't just on impulse search for somewhere unless you go home and get your kitWycombe Till I Die0 -

I have stuck the sensors to the bottom of tail lights, ran cable under the boot seal, control module/beeper is stuck to rear of back seat, power cable runs under trim through cabin to fag lighter.
Takes a bit of fiuddling to find a good route for last bit but took total of half hour if that.
These are really quite good-I was sceptical but seems to work fine on my car, make sure you check that the bumper doesn't hit anything brfore the beeps become constant and you should be fine.
Have a look on ebay,

These are very easy to fit.
The correct way is to power them from the reversing light and grount them to the body of the car. There is no need to have any cable inside the car (in boot only) and no need to use the lighter socket..0 -

Well I got the humour in this even if no-one else noticed it...
Does anyone know if the beeper and LED display are separate? I'm not too happy about having a gaudy multicoloured LED strip lighting up my dash like I'm some sort of boy racer in an XR3i that's just discovered the joys of Halfords...

Don't foget the position of the sensors in the ones which you cut holes in the bumper to fit....I had mine positioned wrong...sensor was showing 0.6m each time I went into reverse...moved them around within the holes cut and now they only start making a noise/showing lights when I come close to an object...bought mine on ebay by the way.
In relation to the position, if you look at the sensors they have like an obolong inner line to each sensor...this needs to be positioned horizontal when fitting to the bumbers...vertical makes it pick up the floor

Guys & Gals, if you live in the midlands area try Pro Park UK. They are located in Leicester. Excellent service with mobile fitting. Sensors start from just £29.99.:j0
